We were asked by the Galway Race Committee to explore options to mitigate the significant impact that the proposed N6 road bypass will have on the racecourse.

The road bypass requires the construction of a cut and cover tunnel along the northern edge of the racecourse, necessitating the demolition of the existing stables, entrance building along with extensive infrastructure works. The Masterplan seeks to provide a coherent solution that repositions the affected areas and delivers an improved experience for racegoers, jockeys and the horses.
