This proposal is for a residential development on a brownfield site in north east London.
The site is circa 1.12 acres (0.45Ha) of former industrial land in a rectangular plot with good road frontage. It is reasonably flat and sits on an elevated position with the general fall of the land to the west.
The proposal is to provide 88 residential units on the site in predominately 2 and 3 bed units with a 50% social housing mix.
The site characteristics suggested a series of stepped blocks in a checker board arrangement giving a very clear delineation in layout. The dominant feature is the parabolic roof form that allows the blocks to step in floor heights and also gives the three blocks a unified entity.
